About the Event

There have been rapid changes in our understanding of gender development as well as terminology used for gender identity. Even when we want to be supportive, it can be hard to know what to say or do. Learn the latest understanding in gender development. Learn a few basic changes you can make in your environment and in the way you talk to children & families so you can support all children.

Mike Huber, MAEd has been in the field of Early Childhood Care and Education since 1992. He is the author of Inclusion Includes Us: Building Bridges and Removing Barriers to Include All Children and Adults in Early Childhood Classrooms and Embracing Rough and Tumble Play: Teaching with the Body in Mind. He is the co-host of the podcast Teaching with the Body in Mind and frequent guest on That Early Childhood Nerd. Mike is the Director of Curriculum at Rise Early Learning Center. His board experience includes service on the Boards of MnAEYC and Child Care Aware MN.

Registration required. $40 per ticket. Groups of 10 or more please email Bemidjiecc@gmail.com to register. Light snacks and certificate of attendance will be provided.
